The Honda BF350 V8 is a landmark model, Honda’s first-ever production V8 for land or water, engineered for larger boats and longer offshore journeys, delivering maximum power alongside strong fuel efficiency. It combines VTEC technology, BLAST for improved low-speed acceleration, and a fully balanced 60° offset crankshaft (built to the same alloy and strength specs as Acura’s NSX supercar) for exceptional performance with minimal vibration. Despite its power, the BF350 runs on regular 86-octane fuel and uses Lean Burn Control and multi-port fuel injection to extend range and reduce operating costs, meaning less frequent refueling and more time on the water. A sleek, single-line silhouette adapts to a variety of hull shapes while remaining exceptionally quiet and low-vibration for a comfortable ride.

Control is handled through Honda’s Intelligent Shift and Throttle (iST) drive-by-wire system, featuring an ergonomic top-mount controller with digital trim support, automatic tilt, cruise control, and troll mode, plus compatibility with twin, triple, and quad engine configurations and plug-and-play integration with Dometic’s Optimus 360 joystick steering. High thrust capability aids maneuverability and control when positioning or stopping large boats, and a high-output charging system (up to 70 amps) — boosted further by AMP+ at idle — keeps onboard electronics powered without draining the battery.

Durability is supported by optimized anode placement and easy-access anodes for saltwater use, anti-corrosion bolt coatings, a multi-layered corrosion protection paint process, and a fresh water flushport. An Engine Alert System monitors for overheating, fuel contamination, low oil pressure, battery issues, and over-revving, while an easy-lift engine cover and extended maintenance intervals simplify upkeep.
