HONDA BF60

The Honda BF60 is built to lead its class in maneuverability, speed, fuel economy, and charging power. It’s available in two versions: the standard BF60 and the BFP60 Power Thrust, which adds a unique gear case and larger propeller suited for pontoons and larger-hulled boats. Performance features include BLAST for instant low-speed acceleration, a Mikuni long-tube intake for low-end torque, Programmed Fuel Injection for easy starts and efficiency, and Lean Burn Control, which allows up to 20% better fuel economy than competitors at cruising speed. A standout feature is Easy Dock Steering, giving the BF60 tiller and all BFP60 models a full 50 degrees of steering to port and starboard (30 degrees on the BF60 remote) — making marina maneuvering notably easier than other mid-size motors offer.

Reliability comes from the same proven Honda engineering used across their engine lineup, backed by the transferable, non-declining True 5 Warranty and an Engine Alert System that monitors overheating, low oil pressure, and over-revving. Corrosion resistance is reinforced with multi-layered paint, sacrificial anodes, stainless steel components, waterproof connectors, internally painted cooling passages, and a fresh water flushport for clearing out saltwater and debris.

For everyday use and fishing, the BF60 offers simplified maintenance, NMEA 2000 connectivity for GPS/sonar integration, a 3-position tiller handle, and push-button variable speed trolling in 50 RPM increments (750–1000 RPM). Charging power is a particular strength thanks to a neodymium magnet flywheel, producing nearly double the charging amps of some competitors — 22 total/17 charging amps on the standard BF60, and 27 total/22 charging amps on the BFP60.
